The Center for Wisdom’s Women (CWW) Board of Directors announced today that Sue Kingsland is retiring from the position of Executive Director effective April 21, 2022.

Kingsland has been with the CWW since March of 2020. Despite most of her tenure happening during the pandemic, Kingsland was able to nurture important connections with sister agencies, and make important strides in solidifying the sustainability of Sophia’s House, a residential community for women healing from experiences of addiction, trafficking, and incarceration.  Additionally, Kingsland spent much hands-on time providing direct services to clients helping them to feel supported and heard.

Kate Marble, former chair of the Board of Directors, reflected, “Sue was able to steward The Center through a pandemic and through the opening of Sophia’s House which was able to help many women in the Lewiston/Auburn community.”

Lee Parker, who has been affiliated with the CWW for many years, will serve as an interim Executive Director as a more comprehensive search for Kingsland’s replacement takes place.

We encourage candidates to apply as soon as possible. To apply, email a cover letter, resume, and references to CWWedsearch@gmail.com  Consideration of resumes will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
