Stephanie Kelley-Romano is an Associate Professor of Rhetoric, Film, and Screen Studies at Bates College in Lewiston. An accomplished teacher and scholar, Professor Kelley-Romano’s principle area of research is the rhetoric of alien abduction and the role these personal narratives play in post-modern mythic construction. Professor Kelley-Romano is also known for her wildly popular Presidential Campaign Rhetoric courses.

She received her Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas with a Dissertation Titled: The Myth of Communion: A Rhetorical Analysis of the Narratives of Alien Abductees. She received both her B.S. and M.A. in Communication Studies from Emerson College in Boston.
